Gambit stood outside the mansion smoking a cigerette, being no one liked the smoke in the mansion. It was a cool night, he heard the laughter floating out the dining room windows. They were having a birthday party for Betsy. He just didn't feel like he belonged anymore. Things were different since Antartica.

"Cajun, why aren't you at my party?" he smelled Betsy's jasmine perfume before she had even spoke.

"Sorry, Bets, " And he truely meant it. "Remy not comfortable in dere. Ever'bo'y look at moi like I'm dis horrible monste'." He crushed his cigerette on the ground.

Betsy frowned, "Remy, not everyone feels like that." She had felt the tension in the room, then when he left it had lessened. but He was a good friend of hers and she couldn't stand to see him like this.

"I thin'vous should be gettin'back t'vous par'y" He said looking away, Remy paused taking a box from his jacket. "Remy got dis fo'vous"

Betsy smiled brushing a strand of violet hair from her eyes. She opened the box, inside was a charm bracelet. She was completely touched by his gift. The charms were little ninja items, knumbchucks, bow, and more. And the last one was a female form with purple hair. "remy you devil" She said softly. "you are one of my very dearest friends."

Remy smiled, "No'gir'git back in dere. Dey be missin'vous. Remy of'on a trip." He walked off the steps turning to look at her. "happy birthday Bets"

She smiled sadly, "Don't forget to come home Remy"
